The autostereogram is a state that allows us to see multiple images from images on a SINGLE sheet of paper. It's really cool actually. It's almost 3D. The only way to fully understand it is to look at the images below.
Just a quick comment. When you >relax< your eyes, you'll know what I mean by relax them. You feel like you are letting them go, just relax. You eyes will >shift<, and all of sudden, the images which are hard to see by forcing them, will become clear, and you will see them clearly... And you'll notice how much more at ease your eyes are.
The Triangle: Your eyes are relaxed, they let go, you are shifting as if you are tired, need to rest a bit, then you see Three Dimensional out of a single pieces of paper. It amazing!
I believe the most that we can see is 2 1/2 dimensions, when our site is in a relaxed state (the state for the autostereogram). Normally we see in 2 dimensions. Here I believe we are seeing in 2 1/2 dimensions. I think we are closer to 3D, but we will never get 3D... I think 2 1/2 is the farthest that we can get actually...
I cannot find the file on www.3dwonderstuff.com but read about it right here:
